My wife found this place via a groupon deal, so we thought that we would give it a go. As other reviewers have pointed out, don’t judge this restaurant by its exterior, as it appears to be a converted ’60’s community hall. Inside is completely different, with two areas, the restaurant, and bar, tastefully decorated. We were warmly welcomed on arrival, and shown to a very neatly prepared table. I could have eaten everything on the menu! All four of us chose different dishes, and each was excellent in its own right. Perfectly cooked, brilliantly presented, and flavours to die for. They have only been open since June, and not advertised extensively yet, so most of their custom is repeat visits, and we shall definitely be going back soon.
Went on spur of the moment with 2 friends and I can honestly say that, without doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant for miles.
The venue itself has been elegantly re-fitted and decorated and looks very smart. We all agreed that the food was simply delicious and the presentation was exquisite and equalled any top class restaurant.
They have a lovely lounge area where you can just go for drinks or pre-dinner drinks, but as we arrived a little later in the event, we went straight to a table.
The staff were attentive and helpful and we would recommend anyone to go and enjoy the experience for themselves. We had starters, main courses and drinks and the bill came to just under £20 each – such excellent value for money and this will, from now on, always be my first choice of places to eat.
Visited Maya for the first time for my birthday, wanted to visit Shakils Restraunt however it was shut, so Maya was the next option.
For impressions were good, very clean, good atmosphere, greeted when we walked in.
Food was very good, and very tasty. However, the chilli and cheese naan bread… Noooo! Dam it was hot. I love spice, but this was just Mouth burn for no reason and had no flavour. Other then that and the room been a little cold (the heating was on) it was very nice and would recommend if you are in the area! Value for money? Yes the portion sizes are more then generous!
Went to Maya on Saturday night. Large restaurant and bar area, with comfortable seating. Excellent food, served with a smile from the attentive staff. Will definitely return.
We have eaten at the maya Around five times now so can highly recommend it,from the moment you walk in you are greeted as friends the staff take time out to have a chat with you, the food is beautifully presented and tastes superb, please don’t be put off by the outside just go and take a peek inside you will be truly surprised.Forgot to mention that they cook the best nan breads i have ever had.5 stars from us for Food, presentation, ambience, and the welcome you will receive.
Although a large restaurant, it has been cleverly and tastefully furnished and decorated and has a nice atmosphere. Food and price are very good and service excellent. Very friendly and welcoming.
Second visit never posted on the first but this place is far above what you would expect in rural Warwickshire Get past the fact that it’s a converted pub / social club and enjoy good food and very friendly staff This is not a 11pm curry house but a mid evening place to go with friends or family.
Forget the outside – it does not look inviting at all. Once you get inside you will have the best hospitality and quality food of any Indian restaurant in the area. We have eaten there on several occasions and had take away food and have been unable to find fault with anything. The decor inside has been done to a high standard. We are now on first name terms with the staff, but as a first time visitor you will be made to feel as equally welcome. If it’s not on the menu they will do their best to make it for you and they will spice dishes to your personal taste. Every time we leave we cannot wait for out next visit! It may be slightly more expensive than local competitors but you get what you pay for! The do an excellent value set menu on a Sunday!
